After university and working for a few years I still did not know what I wanted to do. I had renovated two older homes and made a nice profit and really liked making money from real estate so I studied for and passed the Kentucky Real Estate Brokers Association licensing exam. Encouraged by the Realtor who had helped me with my previous transactions I went to work for the Adkinson-Beard-Layton Realty Group in Frankfort, KY. During the day I worked full-time for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development as the Manager of the Business Technology program but loved my part-time job selling real estate. After several visits to the Cayman Islands I decided that maybe, just maybe, I could move there and sell real estate full-time. Well, in 1997 it happened, I was offered a position and made the move. I have been selling real estate in the Cayman Islands full-time ever since. Before starting my own firm I worked with ERA Kirkconnell Realty and was Agent of the Year for 3 consecutive years. Prior to the 3 1/2 years with ERA I worked for the developer of the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. I am fully trained and certified by the Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (club), I have additional US Association of Realtors certifications in Buyer's Agency and became a member of the distinguished NAR International in 2005.
